This zine was inspired by my childhood by the sea as well as my deep love of music. I grew up in Southern California in a city about an hour inland from the coast. As a young child I feared the mighty ocean waves and the mysterious creatures that lurked beneath. Years later I have conquered this fear as the sea has become one of my biggest sources of artistic inspiration. I thought I’d create this zine as a tangible ode to overcoming silly childhood anxieties through means of sharing positive experiences with songs I’ve enjoyed about the ocean.
This zine was also majorly inspired by a playlist I had made a couple months back titled “Sounds of the Sea”! I thought it would be a fun challenge to attempt to bring this playlist to life to the best of my ability
